I built this web page to give glory
to God for protecting me in a accident and show that He does watch over us.
Psalms 91:9-12
"Because you have made the Lord,
who is my refuge, Even the Most High your dwelling place, No evil shall befall
you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.
"He shall give His angels charge
over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone"
On Dec 21st of 2006, I was driving to
Ohio for Christmas with my family in my Ford Excursion. I hit a patch of ice in
an isolated place in Nebraska and lost control of the vehicle. It slid back and
forth then turned around backwards sliding off the road and rolling over,
landing with the drivers side down. The roof was crushed in all around me, but I
managed to shimmy my body out thru the broken window on the driver's side.
I prayed to God to send help, and as
soon as I crawled out of the wreckage, a work crew arrived and tended to me. The
Deputy Sheriff came, then an ambulance and they took me to the hospital in
Valentine, Nebraska strapped
to a board to make sure there were no serious injuries.
Everyone who took care of me was a
blessing from God, I was quick to let them know I was a servant of the Lord
Jesus Christ. After 4 hrs of X-rays, Cat Scans and other tests, I walked out of
the hospital with minor cuts and bruises, needing nothing more than small
band-aids. The Sheriff brought my bible in to the emergency room, and when I was
allowed to get up; I let them know that God's Word was my source of strength and
faith, it was a witness to them, as I was literally a walking miracle.
Here are some miracles: that I could
get out of the wreckage, that help came immediately, that I had no serious
injuries or broken bones, the roof never touched my head, all my major
belongings stayed in tact and I went back and found my main set of keys the next
day!
My insurance company served me well,
as the truck is a total loss, but they are paying the medical, towing, and
covering the loss fully.
Pastor Eric Sutton from the mission came to my aid,
and they had towed my truck to nearby "Cody, Nebraska" to Cody Motors.
When we arrived at this little town
and read the town's sign and motto....we had a good laugh....God has a great
sense of humor!
I walked away from this wreck with only minor
cuts and bruises!
